The best chance for an addicted individual to grow in recovery often means the family must get better as well. First Contact offers family support for relatives and loved ones of those suffering with substance abuse and addiction. Our goal is to help everyone on their own road to recovery. First Contact Family Support Group meets 2x a week:
Who: Family members and friends of addicted individuals
When: Tuesdays, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. (Mud Creek Baptist)

Families of addicted individuals often suffer in silence. But, it doesn’t need to be this way. Our weekly group meeting offers a safe place to gain valuable information and guidance for dealing with crisis situations, and compassionate on-going support needed to make tough choices often necessary for healing. Group members share similar experiences on how drug addiction has affected their own lives and cope with past and ongoing situations involving substance abuse related drama. This shared experience enables group members to reach out to comfort and encourage each other on the road to recovery.
Mother’s Grief Support Group
Who: Mothers who have lost a child to addiction
When: 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of every month, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

This open share group is for mothers that are grieving the loss of their child due to addiction. Come join with other moms that share your journey and find support, encouragement, and understanding.

FIRST CONTACT staff is available to guide family members through the maze of treatment and recovery options. We have access to a collection of material, books, meeting schedules and brochures to share with loved ones. In addition, FIRST CONTACT offers an on-line “Resources” section which provides links to available services in the area.
