A Local Solution to Henderson County’s Addiction Crisis
Complex problems require creative solutions. It is time for a Henderson County, NC drug & alcohol treatment program. Mud Creek Baptist Church and First Contact Ministries are joining forces to build a local, 7 1/2 month, Christ-centered program to assist those struggling right here in our own community. Each organization will play a unique role in providing a long-term, local solution to our community-wide problem. On December 19, 2017, Mud Creek Baptist Church voted to allow First Contact Ministries to enter into a long-term land lease contract on 2.6 acres of property near the church.
Now that the land has been secured, First Contact Ministries is launching a capital campaign to raise the necessary funds to build a $3 million residential drug & alcohol rehabilitation center on the land. At capacity, the center would house 33 men and 12 women during a 7 1/2 month long program. These are local men and women from our community who are desperately seeking an opportunity for transformation in their lives, and may not find the help they need anywhere else. Construction on this facility will not start until the necessary funds are raised. We need your help to continue. Please fill out the form below to contribute to this important project and help save the lives of struggling individuals and families in our community.
